My Dad, otherwise known to the boys as Grandpa Joe came to visit us this summer... we spent 10 days with him... taking in the old colonial center of Santiago, the grandeur of the Andes mountains puncturing the skies surrounding the city, the towering canyons rising on the city's edge, the rushing rivers spilling off of the glaciated peaks, the windswept beaches off the Pacific Ocean, the endless vineyards blanketing the mountain valleys... oh yea and a few modern malls for some ice cream and culinary delights... It was awesome being able to spend time with Dad... the details and short stories of our times with him are found within the captions of the pics included in this entry.

This was a great trip for me. The highlight was seeing the kids school, home and city that now is where they will continue to grow up. When I think of them all I can see them in their classroom, kitchen or neighborhood and it's being closer to them.
