Deb and I woke up this past weekend, took a trail run up to the snow line of one of the Andes Peaks overlooking our neighborhood, followed by a spell at Starbucks for a cup of Chai... headed home to pack up the boys and head off to a festival that our school hosts every spring. Fiesta Huasa is a festival that is put on by the Chilean Nationals that work at our school. It is a time for friends and families to get together to eat favorite foods like Empanadas, fly homemade kites in the spring winds... yes it is spring down in this part of the World, dance the Cueca... the national dance that highlights the mating behaviors of the famed Huasos (cowboys) and the hot little Huasas they are courting. It was a great way to spend a bright and sunny afternoon.
