So Jeremiah called first thing this morning asking if he was just stupid or was there something a little strange with our return flight. When I booked our flights on Copa I was working so hard to try to get us the cheapest flights that I could. When I checked flights for one person it was only 839 but if I put in 4 it said 1300 per person. So I was playing beat the clock and booking us one by one to get the cheapest flights. We were waiting on Jeremiah so we had pushed the date to the last minute. The week before all of the flight filled completely. Anything with other airlines was running around 1200. Paying this much for a flight was killing me. I have never paid more than 385 (tax included) for a flight. The hard thing is that it is summer in South America so it is the high season.

Flying to Argentina it crossed over 2 days. Flying back it was too. I didn't even think past that. That was my error. Normally I am so good about checking things but we have been so busy crazy lately that somehow I made a huge mistake. The flight back to the states gets into Panama on March 7th at 5:46 pm and doesn't fly back in until March 8th at 10 am.  Opps.

I started researching Panama while I finished packing and getting ready to leave.

Roma started sulking as soon as the suitcases came out. I am hoping that she is okay while we are gone. She is staying at home by herself again with Ken and Tina taking care of her. Thank goodness for great neighbors!

At the airport we checked in with Copa Air. We were really nervous about the weight of our luggage. The web site says that you can bring 2 bags 50lb or less each. Yikes. We have 16 days on a cruise that covers almost the weather of all 4 seasons. The second thing that made us nervous was as they checked our luggage they asked which bag we wanted marked as priority. "Priority, what does that mean" I asked. The bag we wanted to get on the plane first. We joked through our nervousness and teased that the bag without the tag is the bag we want them to lose. We had them laughing before we left the counter.

Of course we wanted the bags that had our Listerine... No we don't have gum disease but we do have a tight budget. Cruises don't want you to bring liquor aboard because you are a captive audience that they can charge 300% for alcohol. We had a little party to mix the perfect color to match Listerine. We mixed our alcohol with food coloring and came up with a beautiful green. Each of us packed one Listerine bottle in our bag.

In the terminal we booked our hotel in Panama on the free wireless that MCO provides. As they were calling us to our gate I was quickly copy and pasting our reservation into a word document so that we could reference it later when we needed to find our hotel. Thank goodness for free wireless. That should be a given. All airports should have free wireless.
