The Lower Brule Indian Reservation was a gorgeous setting for a free night of camping. We tried to contact the administrators of the camp area but the people at the Casino (the only place to find ANYONE) told us to set up our tent anywhere we pleased. So we set up shop right by the Missouri River and spent some time playing with some local girls, who thought we were crazy for camping. Later we shut ourselves up in our tent to shield from the massive amounts of bugs and called it a night. Right at sunrise I felt something hit me on the head. Cory was totally asleep so I knew it wasn't her, so I looked out of the tent and saw two wild dogs running around...maybe coyotes but Im not sure. I was actually thankful for the one stepping on my head because I got to catch the gorgeous sunrise!
