The sky is endless and so is our capacity to embrace it.
The day started very well when Kathryn received a call from her new employer and then we celebrated by jumping into Kathryn Lake. The water wasn't so bad, it was the northern breeze that froze us. After we dried off, I started the next leg of our trip, only to be pulled over for speeding. The officer was nice but not nice enough to let me off the hook. Two hundred dollars and fifty cents later, we stopped at a thrift store in Thorp, which is a town of about 4,300. Kathryn got some blank tapes to record over and I bought some postcards that will be sent out to some lucky
recepients soon. We hopped back in the car and stopped in Chippewa Falls and found a farmer's market,
where we bought Amish cheese curds and smokey blue cheese. Yum!
We're both very excited to meet our next couch surfing host, Sean, who says we might be able to crash a house party and smoke some cigars. He already knows us so well!
