There it was, one of Italy´s most favorite icons, standing straight in front of us, at a small tilt, the leaning Tower of Pisa. We took a few pictures, ate something, and hiked back to the train station to continue on our way to Chiquia Terra. Five villages tucked away into the north west coast of Italy. Small roads, coffee shops, bla, bla, bla, the usual now a days, and loads and loads of tourists. People take Easter very seriously around here. Oh ya, we attempted to see the Pope on Good Friday, but we were unsuccessful in our endeavor. Thousands of people, we did not even get close. It was pretty cool though, fires were lit in the Coliseum, and the sound system was excellent. We ended up eating calzones and ice cream! Either way, the Chinque Terra villages were pretty cool, but it was raining the first night we got there, and there wasn't´t a seat available in any of the ten restaurants located in the small town. So we had take out pizza. The next day was much nicer and it was spent hiking along trails near the sea from village to village.
