This past weekend I went on a hike with the mountaineering club to the Maanturk Mountains. The day started off with fog but once we arrived at the base of the 800 meter mountain it cleared. This place is one of my favorite places in Ireland. We started the hike through some really muddy bogs but once we reached the mountain the ground started to dry up. The weather was perfect when you were in the sun but once you walked into the shade it was freezing. Finally when coming down the mountain we ran into some horses and donkeys. Heading to Scotland soon!
