Finally home. The last leg from Hong Kong was actually one of our better flights. Cathay Pacific's A340 aircraft was modern, smooth and quiet, but most importantly - the seats didn't recline! The seat squab could slide forward which enabled you to lie back sufficiently, but there was none of this seat in your face business.
It was nice to be greeted by friendly familiar faces in the form of Jeff and Naomi, who kindly volunteered as our chauffeures to and from the airport. We walked out into a torrential tropical downpour and after collecting our car, worked out which side of the road we were supposed to be on and drove home.
The rain had done wonders for our garden, thanks also to Robbie and Billie (Jane's bro in law and sister) who had mowed the lawn and kept it looking good while we were away.
Thanks too for everyone's comments and enthusiasm, it was good to have that contact as "strangers in a strange land".
Until the next trip.......

Welcome home J & J - I've really enjoyed the photographs - you have some excellent memories there. My favourite was the smart car parking! All in all it looked a little too chilly in places for me so it was good seeing the slideshow from 31deg! Lisa

A wonderful selection of memories for us too John.
I dont think we have enjoyed a travel blog more.
A couple of questions:-
What camera did you take & the Indian meal really took us back in time.
We recognised the tandoori, rice & naan but what were the other delights?
We sit here salivating!
