Wednesday morning saw Lucy and I get up at 5.30 to get the boat back to Santa Cruz. Our time in paradise was drawing to a close and it was a grey damp day. We said our goodbyes to Pertita and Adolfo took us to the port. The crossing back wasn't quite as painful as the one over (well I didn't have Mike throwing up for a start).
We checked into our hotel, had a bit of breakfast, a nap and then explored Santa Cruz again, looking for good deals for our day trips. There was the usual enterainmenmt at the port with the pelicans, sea lions, gulls and frigate birds hanging around for the scraps from the fish market.
After lunch we made the trek along the second Great Wall of China to the beach and I had a swim in Tortuga Bay - it was lovely and warm. However, we had forgotten just how long and painful the walk is and just when you think you're nearly there, there´s more path lying ahead.
