I had an incredible time at the Santee Sioux Pow Wow.  We were invited with the National Park and set up our Mobile Ranger Station.  We put out our Plesiosaur fossil replica and put out our Quiz Wheel for kids to enjoy near the park.

The morning was slow as the Pow Wow had gone into the wee hours the night before.  It was great to see the regalia slowly being put on and finally saw the Grand Entrance.

One thing that I had seen before on the Apache reservation was a high respect for the military.  A large portion of the morning events and the Grand Entrance were dedicated to those in the military.  Speaking to some of the tribe members, it is a respected part of the culture to be a veteran.

The Grand Entrance was great part to see as it included all different tribes and young, old, male, and female.

The experience, I think, it better told in the pictures.
