Most of my stay in CDO has been in an area where we are rebuilding which is in a flood safe area. Friday I went into Carmen, a neighborhood that was devastated by the floods from Typhoon Sendog. Still a lot of work and we are almost 6 months from the disaster. We tried to sanitize one home but that street had no water. This takes a lot of water so we decided to go back another day and did a community center/school. There was mud caked everywhere, even the ceiling boards. I couldn't imagine water filling up to that point! We first got as much dirt from the ceiling boards and big items from the floor. Then we hosed and scrubbed the walls and floors. It was very satisfying to end with a clean school. Hope it is put to good use once we can repaint it!
