Went from Orlando to Chicago to Beijing and now I'm in Manila waititing to head to Cagayan de Oro. Enough traveling for you? I debated whether to officially count Beijing, but I decided I will. Why? Because I definitely experienced it. As we go in there were 5 times they checked our passport and sometimes even took our pictures. I even got a stamp from immigration. We didn't even leave the airport! There was a group of about 15 people tranferring to the same flight so we bonded over the confusing situation as we all followed our 'guide' like cattle. An amusing experience but I will avoid tranferring through China in the future. Another pain was that American Airlines said they couldn't send our baggage through to the Philippines so I had to go get the bag there. I recomfirmed this in Chicago. I get to China and they said it was there, but... Well I don't know.exactly what they.basically told us to talk to the desk in the Philippines. I did, wrote a report, and should be sent to Cagayan eventually. Fortunately most of it was donations, but I am missing my towel, travel pillow, and sneakers. Same situation happened to one of the people tranferring in China, and it was nice to have someone to stress over baggage with.
My actual birthday was June 13 which essentially got missed one the flight to Beijing. My mom made me carrot cake (my fave) which I at at about 1 am on the 14th. Wanted to have it on my real birthday, but security jazz took too long!
