Weather: Rainy and cold
We left at 6:45 this morning and arrived at our site at about 7:10 pm. Long day in the car! We went to Einstein bagels and took 55 from Chciago to Saint Louis then 65 to Springfield Missouri (stopping at Subway). I drove through to Harrison Arkansas. AT Marshall, Ar we took 27 then took country road 52? All the way to South Maumee campground.
After Marshall/Harrison, we saw a creationist club sign, a water tower that said district 9, and started confederate flag counting.
We listened to a lot of music. We played a lot of name that tune on the radio. John and I both could have our cell phones recognize the song.
We picked up turkey, chips, bread, cheese, and corn chips. At our site we set up in the drizzle but right before it got dark! The 'resident local expert' ken was here and had some stuff set up, including a community tent. Ken is a sweet old man who has a hard time hearing.
I'm not looking forward to this rain, and having to pee in it tonight!
