Pretty good to get out of the manic city. Some great views from the bus of the mountains en route.
Oaxaca much more mellow than Mexico City, old buildings and much warmer weather. Hostel was near a chilled cool park and pretty close to town.
Visted our first Mayan ruin which was pretty amazing! Pictures below. Yet more locals trying to sell us stuff, they couldnīt seem to work out why neither of us would want a pair of local earrings or bead necklaces, maybe this says something about how we look together... who knows!
Tried our first load of proper mexican food, is very different from in the UK. Plus not really sure what most of it is!
Pretty difficult to write stuff thatīs actually going to be interesting for you to read so think I will just put up a load of photos!
Next step: overnight bus to Tapachula in South Mexico (close to the Guatemala Border)
