Today I hired a bike to find my way around. My motorbike riding is getting better and better.
The first place on the list was the lighthouse, after getting a little lost I found the way. It was definitely fun getting directions in Vietnamese.
The problem was the street started as a little dirt path then turned in to a big three lane sealed road. Strange!! I couldn't see a truck making the first 50 metres of the road.
Oh well, the lighthouse was a bit of an anticlimax after the trip up and the great views.
Next it was off to the giant Jesus statue, I couldn’t take the bike up so had to walk up in the sun.
Why do I always walk up stairs or a hill at midday, do I never learn. After giant Jesus, the plan was to go to Hon Ba pagoda.
But I couldn’t be bothered to walk across the sea to the small island that the pagoda is on. So I settled on a picture, then it was time to get the bike back.
