Today was sightseeing day again. I've discovered the hiring of a motorbike driver is the way to go all the sights in one day. Today's driver cost 5,000k. He was the guy that picked me up from the bus station and took me to the guest hours for free.
We started at 9:30 with Kha Khat Wain Kyaung a monastery. It used to have 1200 monks, but due to a problem with the government only 600 stay there now. Each morning they go out and get donations of food that can be used for lunch.

The Palace (Kanbawzathadi Palace) was closed, not sure that was true but ok. Then to Hintha Gon Paya with great views over Bago. Then the snake temple, where the snake is 190 years old.

Shwemawdaw Paya is 14m higher than the one in Yangon and in 1917 a piece fell off when the earthquake hit. The picture is of the bit that fell off they kept it, but now you know what a Paya looks like on the inside.

Then Shwegugale Paya with the tunnels of Buddha's. Then finally Maha Kalyani Sima for the four standing Buddhas and Kyaik Pul Paya for the four sitting ones.

Dinner of hot and sour chicken at the Triple Diamond Ba Mung Restaurant rounded off the day. Tomorrow I take the 8am bus to Kyaiktiyo and the Golden Rock.
