In the morning after breakfast I took a motorbike from Chaungtha to Ngwesaung. There is no road, so I would have had to take a minibus back to Pathein they again (2.5 hrs in and 1.5 hrs out again). But for 13 USD I was taken on a bike. The driver only got 7,000k I found out later.
The trip was really good there were three rivers to cross. The motorbike and the boat drivers lifted the motorbike with bags into the boat then paddle across. Two were sea crossings rather than rivers. I just had to get out of the boat and walk through mangroves to a firm area then get back on the bike. We were drive in the middle of nowhere. At one point while driving along the beach we past some fisherman with their lines out far out sea.  The type with abut 5 people on the beach to drag the lines in.  As we passed they would lower the line so we could drive over them.

Ngwesaung beach is very quiet. There are a lot of resorts with manicured lawns. But there is no one on the beach, it's complete empty. I went to the Golden Sea Resort, but if was a complete dive. So I went to Shwe Hin Tha Hotel, the sister to last night's hotel. I got a nice bamboo bungalow that looks out to the sea. Tomorrow I go back to Yangon. I take the minibus then a big bus, the direct bus doesn't leave tomorrow.
