Best Zoo ever..
So we've all been to the Zoo big deal. Well it is a big deal at the Steve Irwin zoo. The man was a legend on telly and his staff do him a great service in carrying on his craziness in the zoo too.
We arrived early in the morning heat and straight up there was a huge camel standing at the door welcoming us in and looking for some food. The fact that you could feed the camel was the same for all animals in the zoo although you'd have to pay to feed the crocs and tigers but the fact that they even offer that is great. They have a big show twice daily in the Crocosseum which is an all seater arena in the middle of the zoo. It seemed all of the animal handlers had been trained by Steve Irwin personally as they put on a cheestastic show for us all with great enthusiasm. Lots of "Crikeys" and stand up stuff with crowd interaction and great animal shows involving Snakes, Crocs, Birds, Elephants and the staff themselves. Real fun for the little kids and even the big kids. They showed plenty of footage of Steve during the show too and it is quite sad to see the big man on screen full of life.
Along with all that we saw so many different typed of birds and beasts of all shapes and sizes and Lou got to cuddle some more Koalas. Conor especially loved the little lambs and pigs! We saw an elephant getting a bath and tiny tigers running around.
Deffo worth the visit.
