Don't camp in Brisbane we learned. The campsite was miles out of town and we were thrown down the back of a field so it was not that nice at all.

On the other hand the sun was shining again after 7 long days of electrical stormsand torrential rain and Brisbane provided us with our first dining out experience in a long while. The cold beers, wine, huge burger and delicious salads were enough to send us asleep with a huge smile on our face. Nice city all the same and not to big with plenty of nightlife even on a Thursday night. One night was all we could manage though so we couldn't give any opinion on the sights of the place as we only saw it by night.

The bane of life. Pity you two did'nt get to see the city cos it is a lovely place, Dad and I spent a week there as you know many years ago and we loved it, mind you we did tours of the place and fopund it very interesting but maybe too old for you guys.
