Haley here. Yeow! Air conditioning is not just in the living room like it was in our other home. It is all over. I just shed my coat getting ready for the hellhole of Alhambra, and now I'm cold. I sneak under Mary’s covers to take my naps like I snuck under Motel 6 beds so I wouldn’t have to go in the car. They made an apartment for me in the laundry room and closed me in there while strangers brought in stuff. When I came out, there was no floor for walking. Fortunately, my laundry apartment lasted awhile. Yesterday, Mary made me another apartment in her room. She said this was my place, but I don’t believe her because we have been changing all the time. I have to get these people into a system. They are exhausted and keep opening boxes and putting stuff all over. It makes me tired, so I take a nap at the drop of a hat. So far only a bathroom wastebasket, some coca cola glasses and a mug have been broken in the move. I am glad about the mug. It was a treasure from their Alaska trip, but it had dogs all over it. I keep telling them that the best art has a cat in it. Mary snuck in wooden objects de arte, even though she returned the original object back to the sea near Santa Cruz. She made a window seat for me, but then she covered it with cardboard boxes that they will put in storage for the move back to California. I told them to get rid of more stuff and be like a cat so we can just appear wherever we want in our future. They don’t seem to be ready to hear that so I will just wait for them to catch on. They seem slow to realize that truth just as they seem lost all the time when they drive. Fortunately, I don’t have to go with them and can keep the birds around her in line. There was a rabbit on the patio I had to scare away, too. There are so many things to control. It is time for a nap. But first maybe I’ll get a little snack, a little scratch and a treat. I’ll lie prone at Mary’s feet. She’s a treat pushover. At least that stayed the same.

Hi Haley, poor gal.Its very difficult and so emotional for human to let go things ok?Your new apartment is so perfect and keep you to be busy for a while. Please take good care of them for us.Thank you and good luck girl.
Well Haley, 'ole girl, you made it! I know these have been stressful fimes, but I think you may be the glue that holds it all together. Your wisdom will direct them through it all. Take the girls and have a little nap now.....A rest is good now as I think there are some new adventures a brewing up. Take care of them for me....
is 14 considered an unlucky number in MI?
"She said this was my place, but I don’t believe her because we have been changing all the time. I have to get these people into a system." --> This make me laugh, LOL. Haley, please don't scare the rabbit away, IT could be me, ^ . *
i think any enthusiasm i may have worked up for my next move has been effectively crushed ---- can you imagine the STUFF that has accumulated in thirty some-odd years in one home, having raised three kids who played almost every sport & went through almost very level of scouting (girl and boy), etc etc etc? don't know about you but it gives me the willies to think about it.....
Well then, Pretty, we saw you again today. Before you were here in the morning, now you were here in the afternoon... Chris, hell is a four letter word, and move is a four letter word. Twenty years of stuff became 8,700 pounds. What would thirty years yield? I think I'll feel better after this sorting hat to smaller digs, but right now it is painful. Chrisser, I think I 'll follow Haley to a nap!
