Rawr! Daylight savings time is not alright with me!  It is bad enough that New York is already 3 hours ahead of my internal clock but due to the untimely daylight savings time change, I lost an additional hour!

Ridgewood Congregation's Sunday Public Talk and Watchtower Study is at 9 am... which is actually 8 am as of that day..... and 5 am to me....... perfect time for a meeting, right?Of course I will be awake and attentive at that time- NOT.

Anyways, this was a special meeting because  our visit happened to fall on the Circuit overseers visit. The young CO Brother Johnson gave two equally touching talks; " Making Jehovah your Confidence"  & "Esau or Jacob- Whom will you be?" In the first talk, he gave very funny ( yet powerful) illustration that stuck with me and I have paraphrased below:

What does whole souled devotion really mean? Well suppose you had Bacon & Eggs for breakfast this morning. Both the Pig and the Chicken gave something of themselves to make your breakfast, but which one of the two would you say gave something whole souled??

After the meeting, he invited all of the youth to join him on the stage for a group photo and left all of them with an assignment to email him their goals and whats steps they are making to accomplish them. What a lovely, personal touch from a truly incredible brother.

Also on this day, there was a special exhibit at the Discovery Times Square museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls were being displayed. The whole experience may be surmised in one word: Breathtaking.

Since we were already in Times Square, we took the opportunity to be total tourists and photograph all the lights and sites. Ooh PURDY PURDY.

That evening, I had a groupon for the Brooklyn Beebo Seafood & Raw Bar, so we took, in Alyssa's words; " Every Letter of the Alphabet" trains to get there. Absolutely worth it though! My groupon was valued at 4 dozen Raw Oysters and Drinks. As Alyssa and I are still minors in the US, so Caro & Jodi had to take one for the team and have our drinks for us. Oh poor them. We also indulged in Seafood Risotto, Tuna Tartar, Vodka Penne and charred spinach in garlic oil.

                                                   Classy Ladies are we.
