Outsdhoorn is called the ostrich capital of the world, and for good reason, they are everywhere. You can feed them, race them, eat them, just about everything involved Ostriches.

But we were not really interested in Ostrich farms, we came here to see an old colonial town and also go to the Cango caves and the Cango wildlife park to pet some big cats!
The drive to Oudtshoorn was along Route 62, amazing scenery and some very winding mountain dirt roads, breathtaking stuff. The highlight was definitely the Cango Wildlife Park - its a zoo but with a difference, they let you in the cages (once you show the dosh at least!) We chose tiger cubs, they were really cool, very playful and was amazing to interact with them. They were young but could still do damage so it had to be pretty closely monitored. But was really special. After that we went to the Cango Caves,
one of the largest cave systems in the world with some amazing stalagmite and stalactite thingys.
We did the adventure tour which involved crawling thru some very tight squeezes- tuck it in time!
Was really cool, bit claustrophobic but you got to see formations most people didnt get to.

Next stop is err, well, the Garden Route which will involve loads of beaches, loads of late lunches and plenty of relaxation!
