After a day off from any art appreciation, we hit the Musee D'Orsay. An old, restored train station, the art was more delicately displayed than in the Louvre. The pieces were granted the space they deserved instead of stacked one atop the other. Tons of Van Goghs, Monets and Renoir's fat happy cats.

Walked it to the Eiffel Tower for some day shots, of which I forced some obligatory tourist goofball shots. Me holding the Tower by my fingertips, Ashley holding it up in her palms (requires a very different muscle set), us doing acrobatic leaps across the Champ-de-Mars. Quite the workout, from embarrassment if nothing else. Our photo shoot ended across the Seine at the fountains of Trocadero. Winter hibernation, we were probably three months too early to see them on.

A night of laundry (sexy, no?) and packing for our flight to Italy the next day awaited us.

My favorite strong niece!
I love these shots. Having to print them. I think we missed the Musee D'Orsay, but sounds wonderful.
