Where I stayed
Yesterday we got a late start on the day leaving Fredericton, NB - Steve needed a bit more rest after the stress we went through over the past few weeks...and I figured what the heck, we are not on any specific schedule, so I just took the extra time to get the blog started. When we went down for breakfast we found out that we were misinformed about the time it ended and were about 20 minutes too late. Thankfully the girl at the front desk went into the kitchen and got us a couple of muffins. Our day was finally ready to begin.
It was a rainy day and driving was a bit slow with all the construction we went through in once we hit Quebec. I am sure that the roads will be nice when they are finished, but I am sure that the last time we traveled through here it was the same thing...a lot of construction every few kilometers. Once again, we just keep reminding ourselves that we are not on a schedule and it doesn't matter how long it takes to get though an area...that is a freeing thought...and helpful for enabling us to begin to relax.
The day was fairly uneventful. We enjoyed the scenery and took it easy. We once again booked our reservations while on the road...thanks to the iPhone, and being able to check for availability and rates. The Comfort Inn and Suites in Levis where we stayed was new. Beautifully appointed and there was a microwave and a small fridge. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that they had a pool so we decided to refresh ourselves with a swim. It turned out the pool was all of 4' deep, but still refreshing.
For dinner we went across the parking lot to Boston Pizza and ordered dinner to go. By the time we got to bed, we were exhausted once again.
But for us, we got little sleep. The cats were a real nuisance and woke us up several times through the night. I think with them sleeping most of the day in the truck, it is making them more antsy when they get landed. I am sure like us, they still feel like they are moving for quite some time after we get stopped.
Today we will be heading for Ottawa with a brief stop in Montreal. We'll keep you posted.

Hey Colleen and Steve
Thanks for the updates, I've enjoyed reading them. I can't imagine my cat being at all happy, were he put in the same situation. It sounds like they're doing pretty good considering. Bailey would likely be scraching my eyes out by now.
It's good to hear your trip is going well. I'll see you in the west, until then have a great trip, and drive safely.

CAN'T WAIT
Wow, what a great communication tool, gota love technology. It's so nice to be a part of your travels. I didn't realize you were on your way so soon, forgive me. Life has been chaotic for me recently but I feel I'm getting back in the saddle (in more ways than one, wink wink nudge nudge). Anyway, I look forward to following along on your journey and I can't wait to see the both of you. Hey, did you ever get an apartment? Where? Do you have an ETA?
Me again
