Flag of New Zealand  , South Island,

There is so much to say, but little time to write... i will be brief and let the pictures speak for themselves. :)

We left Rotarua and went to Napier to stay with the father of a dear friend of ours from Colorado.  Karl and his glowing girlfriend were absolutely beautiful and took us in as if we were their own children.  We stayed at gorgeous home for two nights recharging and exploring the wineries in Napier before heading to Wellington for a day to catch the ferry to the south island.

The south island is unbelievably beautiful.  wow!  I didn't think NZ could get anymore spectacular,... but it keeps getting better.  We spent a night in Nelson and then went to hike the Abel Tasman Trek for 4 days, 3 nights of camping.  That was truly a spiritual experience for us.  We were totally in the meditative groove of hiking for 4-7 hours a day, taking breaks to take in all the beauty of the forest, swim in the ocean or explore a cave... Wow!  Words can't really express our experience.

We met Heiko, a heart centered man from Germany, during our second day of the hike and connected so deeply that we decided to finish the trek together.  At the end of the fourth day, we were all sad to part from each other,... so we are now traveling with a third.  Our travel magic is at its peak and we are just along for the ride.  We hitch-hiked with a Swiss couple up to Tataka (the nearest town) feasted on lamb and ribs, shared a bottle of wine and spend the night at a nearby hostel.  After camping for the previous 4 nights,...a bed felt incredible.  And a hot shower for that matter.

We are now heading north to a beach and cave recommended by a local kiwi.  He referred to it as the Grand Canyon of NZ... should be pretty amazing.

My camera was dead for a couple of days, but got some great pics before it died.   Will have to add more pictures another time...this computer is melting down.

We are so blessed.
