Our first day on the boat was just gorgeous. Sun out, glistening water, getting to know our new boat friends, cool crew and some good food. We learnt all the ropes of how the cruise would work too. Step one, wake up, step 2, eat breakfast provided, step 3, sunbake/read/relax/sleep, step 4, swim, step 5, relax, step 6, eat, step 7, relax, step 8, party.
Sounded good to us!
Berno and I were both nursing slight hangovers from the night before initially, but once the wind was in our hair it was smooth sailing. and our first full day aboard was great.
Our first stop was a little place called Hvar. Hvar is notorious for it's nightlife and like all throughout the islands, seafood. We all went and ate seafood at a little local favourite which was amazing. I had seafood spaghetti with fresh muscles, squid, prawns and loads of em all. SO tasty, accompanied by a bottle of local wine. Does life get much better?
As we left the restaurant we went to find the recommended bar we were supposed to meet at and stumbled across a bar belting out classic songs with people inside screaming along to the songs. Even 'Your the Voice' came on. The giant cocktails flowed with metre long straws. Bern and I started off sharing them but ended up buying these litre big cocktails on our own!! Mojito mayhem began and we danced and sang the night away. It was great fun!! Got to catch up with quite a few friends from our travels too.
Life is good.
