We tried to stop in Phoenix for the night, but every hotel along the road was comopletely fullorlooked like some kind of Hooker Warehouse... so we decided to keep on going. According to TomTom there was another Motel 6 just 30 miles up the road in a town called Casa Grande which is just about an hour west of Tuscon.
We were both so absolutely loopy from exhaustion we couldn't sleep for an hour and I finally ended up taking a Benedryl just to get to sleep. We kept doing Michael's "Hi! I'm..." impressions - in this case "Hi I'm Arizona State Patrol and I arrest people at 5AM because I want to keep the crazy Alaskans awake!"
People do weird things out of exhaustion.
We are a little behind Schedule. I had actually planned to be in Las Cruces, New Mexico by tonight but LA traffic was utterly horrific and it took us almost 3 hours just to get out of it.
