It's been several days since I last updated my travel blog.  The second-leg of my trip to California has been great, low-key, and fun.  I've had a great time with Heather and Craig's many companion animals, and of course, I've managed to eat my way through the entire south west coast of North America - at least, that's what it feels like!

Just wanted to post a few pictures tonight, as I'm finishing up my packing and trying to get to bed relatively early. I have a long travel day ahead of me tomorrow (Sunday), with the first leg taking me to Vancouver, and the final leg will get me home at 1:00 a.m. Toronto time - that's more than 12 hours of travel. Blech.  I'm sure I'll have a few stories about that adventure too!

I promise to make an update when I'm back in my cozy condo, since I have so much to say (and photos to share) about what we did today...you'll just have to wait to hear all the excitement.

Highlights of the past few days include:
- a divine experience at Chuao,
- all-you-can-eat sushi bar (gosh it was heaven),
- swimming at a fantastic pool here in San Diego, and of course,
- hanging out with Mae, Che and Jem, the resident furry and feathered friends.

I've also slept a lot and just hung out with Heather and Craig, which was really nice. And of course, I managed to mostly stick to my training schedule.

I've had an amazing week, and am just putting the finishing touches on my suitcase and bike box.  My fingers' crossed that neither are overweight.

I have a slew of photos from today's adventures, so please check back after Monday to see them and read about what we got up to today.  I will divulge that I finished the day with a bun-less burger at In and Out Burger - this, after watching Fast Food Nation last night!  Ah, the excitement never ends!  But in all seriousness, today was awesome and I do need to take more time to write about it than I have available to me presently.

Hope you've had a good week, and we'll see you sometime when I'm back on Terra Firma in Toronto.

Best,
Kathie x
