After driving through a couple of the campgrounds at the entrance to Acadia National Park, we decided to stay at Mount Desert Narrows Campground. The office was closed so we had to fill out an after hours card to camp.  Luckily for us there was a space available that was shaded and overlooking the harbor.  We arrived just in time to catch the setting sun reflecting off the water.  We built a fire and enjoyed the rest of the evening together.  Clayton decided to put on a bubba show.  He danced, skipped, and jumped over rocks while making noises only my son could make.  We all were laughing at his performance and as soon as one show would end Cleo would immediately request an encore.  To her delight, he always obliged.

Putting the kids to bed in the RV can be a challenge.  I try to follow somewhat a normal routine.  They are bathed, their teeth are brushed, and we read a story or two.  They seem tired and willing to hit the sack, but as soon as the door closes to their room the chaos begins.  There is giggling and the thumbing noise of their toy box being opened and slammed shut.  Then paper wrestling and growling and other noises that I can't pinpoint.  We reenter at our own risk in the attempt to tame these wild animals.  They settle while we are present.  Then as the door shuts they are back at it again. This is what camping is all about and their laughter is music to our ears…until its late and we just want to go to sleep.
