And now, for the big announcement you've all been anxiously waiting for!

Na-Nu Na-Nu

My name is Mork and I come from the Planet Ork!

Ok, that's not the real announcement. You have to be a little patient. Earth shattering news announcements, especially those concerning yours truly, take time to be released.

And now back to our regularly scheduled blog!

Up at the crack of dawn. Drive for 1 hour. Spend 1 hour touring a UFO Museum. Drive 4 hours. Spend 2 hours touring a Very Large Radio Antennae. Total time...8 hours...just like the 2 previous days of driving and touring. Now that's spooky!

I timed it perfectly. I left the Carlsbad KOA so that I would be in Roswell when the museum opened at 9 am. I arrived at 8h57, parked, and walked in as they were unlocking the doors.

Fact or Fiction!

Do beings exist on other planets and have they been visiting Earth?

There are probably as many people that believe in Aliens and visits from other planets as there are that believe in God or some other Supreme being in one form or other. No...that would be wrong. More people believe in God and a Supreme being than in an Alien life form. Though there are probably as many that believe in Alien life forms as there are that believe in a specific type or form of Spirit or God.

Maybe Aliens are just another structure of Religion or Spirit?

In mid-June or early July of 1947 something crashed in a field near the town of Roswell, New Mexico. The military was involved. Locals were supposedly threatened. Stories changed as to what was found. The controversy quickly died away, and this event was relegated to the history books.

Thirty years later, the controversy erupted again when a UFOlogist interviews the Major involved at the time of the original event. New witnesses come forward. The story hits National and International news. The Government investigates the various claims and releases their new findings.

What actually crashed in that field in 1947? A flying disk carrying Alien life forms? Was it some kind of Top Secret military program gone wrong? Or was it only an advance weather balloon system that confused the military and civilians at the time and created the mixed up stories?

Sixty years after the original event and we still don't know. The UFO Museum doesn't give any definite answers. It provides the information and lets the readers themselves arrive at their own conclusions.

So what is the definition of a UFO? This is what I found,

"...we can define the UFO simply as the reported perception of an object or light seen in the sky or upon the land, the appearance, trajectory, and the general dynamic and luminescent behaviour of which do not suggest a logical, conventional explanation and which is not only mystifying to the original percipients but remains unidentified after close scrutiny of all available evidence by persons who are technically capable of making a common sense identification, if one is possible."

The other displays talked about mysterious crop circles. Are they evidence of visits from some space craft or only unexplained weather phenomena?

There's also the wood carving of the Palenque Astronaut from 400-600 AD. A copy of a   Mayan Tomb-lid from the Sacred Temples of Palenque with inscriptions showing how they could or maybe did travel to other planets and galaxies.

The visit was quite interesting. As I had to get back on the road for today's destination, my visit was quite brief and I barely scratched the surface of reading all the material that they had displayed and in their extensive research library.

I know what I believe. What do you?

"Man's understanding of reality will forever be limited by his senses and the technology we devise to extend them beyond normal human limitations. Therefore, there will probably always be some mysteries of the Universe eluding our curious grasp. One such mystery of our time is that of the Unidentified Flying Object Phenomenon. It has been reported from all parts of the world and it has been recorded in documents hundreds, if not thousands of years old."

What do you believe exactly?
After reading your blog I'm still not really clear on that... As for me, I have no idea. I'm wishy washy on these kinds of conspiracy theories. They only make sense, because no one can prove anything either way.
