I would like to wish all my faithful (and not so faithful) readers a Very Merry Christmas.

Now I have to get back to updating my blog on what's been happening in my travels. Not that I've travelled that much, but I have seen a lot of things and taken a few pictures (though most of the pictures taken this past week and a half were taken by Nick as it was easier than hauling my camera around). When I left off 10 days ago the kids were arriving for their holidays in the sun. We had an amazing time. They are now on the plane back home to Calgary.

I will get into what we did a little later (as it's getting late). Last night was a very late night with going to midnight mass then we had an early wake-up call by the neighbours in the campground who didn't stay up half the night. For now you get to hear what I got for Christmas. I received a DVD of the movie The Bourne Ultimatum, an "RMC Dad" T-shirt and RMC hoodie from...well...you must have guessed who goes to the Royal Military College...Nick, plus a Mickey Mouse coffee cup. I also received more reading material. A fiction novel by the author Ken Follett, The Pillar of the Earth,   at almost 1000 pages it will keep me busy for a while, which...even though is a work of fiction, takes place in medieval times and ties into the research aspect of my Journey for my book, plus the book A History of God - The 4000 year Quest of Judaism, Christianity and Islam (more research material). At this point in time I have enough reading material to last me until next summer...if that's all I wanted to do...read. But then...I wouldn't have a Journey to report on here in my blog...now would I ?

But the Best Christmas gift of all was spending time with my kids. As I describe our exploits of the past 10 days in the next few days you will start wondering if we are all a little nuts. But as the saying goes..."The Apple never falls far from the Tree!"

If you are reading this sooner than later...or is it...later than sooner, check back on any entries posted between this one and the one of December 15 of I'm Going to Disney World! I'm not too sure how long it will take me to get caught up here, but knowing me, they'll probably all be done by the end of tomorrow.
