Time to pack up and move on again. Only 400kms to drive
today...mostly interstate. But first, have to dump the dirty water accumulated
the past few days in our holding tanks. From where we are parked, not the most
convenient spot to get to and then the dreaded mishap happens. I put a dent in
my truck. As an FYI, there is very little space, or as I found out this
morning, not enough space to make a sharp turn while backing up my trailer
without the front of the trailer hitting my truck. Luckily the back window of
the truck didn't shatter. Next stop...a garage for some air for my truck &
trailer tires. I've noticed a slow leak in one of the rear tires of my truck.
This tire is quite low after 4 days...so no highway driving with the extra
weight of the trailer on the rear tires. First station and we dive in. Not the
best spot for an air compressor but the hose is just barely long enough to get
to the low tire. The on ramp to the interstate is across the street and to the
left. Drive up to the traffic light. "Right Turns Only!" Right arrow turns
green and I turn left. I'm not trying to turn this rig around again this
morning. Luckily no State Troopers are around. The rest of the trip to Plymouth
is uneventful. Register at the campground and am given a site number at the
OTHER end of the campground. Get there and the site is occupied. Drive back to
the Registration office. Oops. The lady told me the wrong site number. Set-up
the trailer and then drive in to Plymouth to see the Atlantic Ocean. Walk
around a while and Alexis sees a shop selling Old Tyme Photos. She wants her
picture taken all dressed up in a period costume. I think she wants to see if
I'll be doing it. Get the pictures done and are about to leave when the clouds
open up. It's coming down in buckets and it doesn't look like it's going to
stop soon. I run to the truck (look like a drowned rat) then go back to get
Alexis and the pictures we took. I remember that the vents are open at the
camper. Not AGAIN! Luckily the rain was coming from the opposite direction and
everything is dry.
