Early start. Destination-Minneapolis. First set-back. Drive half an hour to the US Border. "BORDER CLOSED-Drive to the Port of Emerson". NO! Time for breakfast. Middle of Highway 59. Between Canada and US Custom's offices. Border opens 45 minutes later. And we're off. ..not quite yet. US Customs confiscates our beef. Frozen hamburger (Canadian) is still non-grata in the US. Or so that's his story. I just think he was having a BBQ that evening and his wife told him to get the beef.

Uneventful drive through Minnesota. Get to Minneapolis. Boy this GPS (Global Positioning Device for the technical illiterates) is sweet. Directs me right to where I want to go. Oh NO! Downtown Minneapolis. Think I entered the wrong destination. I don't think there's a campground in downtown St. Paul. Get stuck in traffic. Leaving Minneapolis-St.Paul. Heading east. Visitor information. Campgrounds. Here we go, just the campground I thought I had entered into the GPS. Provincial Park. Roads not very wide. Lots of trees. Luckily they all survived. Evening walk to waterfalls. See deer, geese, and other wild animals.
