My 12-step program to an amazing life.

#1-Awareness
#2-Belief
#3-Love
#4-Patience
#5-Empathy
#6-Gratitude
#7-Balance

and then the opposites to be able to achieve balance in life...

#8-Greed
#9-Equanimity
#10-Frustration
#11-Fear
#12-Control

Nothing could be so simple as providing these words or ideas and expecting individuals to achieve an amazing life. Why would that be so?

First off, there are so many definitions and interpretations of these words that most, if not all, people who would read this list would arrive at a different place then what I would call Heaven on Earth.

The first word that would need to be clarified is "opposites".

Many would disagree with my list. They would state that the opposite of gratitude is not greed, that the opposite of empathy is not equanimity, that the opposite of love is not fear, and so on.

What I mean by opposites is, the corresponding position in a list, or, in this situation, the corresponding step. But just because one step corresponds to another on the list that doesn't mean that they are, or are not, opposites by any other definition.

The 12 steps have also been sequentially numbered, but that doesn't mean that they follow any specific order or are of diminishing or increasing importance. Each one is related to the other and, if you can imagine it, create a 12 dimensional matrix of interrelationships.

...and that's all you get.

It would be impossible to expand on this subject in this forum. So this is where I stop. The next step for me is to actually write the book, to be called, "What? Is! The 12 steps Stairway to Heaven".

But, before I get to writing I have to get back to traveling. So now you get to see where my travels will take me.

The planning for the trip to Asia has been progressing nicely. I've done some research and I have an itinerary. Knowing that I'm always where I'm supposed to be at the right time, there has been some modifications to the itinerary where an easier "plan of action" allowed the trip to flow better.

The basic itinerary is something like this. Fly to Hong Kong on January 6th. Fly back to Canada on April 29th. Visit 16 south-eastern Asian countries in 16 weeks.

The specifics will be documented here as I travel. Enjoy!

I now have a few visa applications to apply for.

Oh right! I've been at my sister's in Nanaimo the past couple of weeks. I've been helping my brother-in-law rebuild the roof on their wood shed (which is the size of some people's garage) and helped out with a few other odd jobs around their place. I've also started going to the gym and training with a trainer. If I'm going to carry a backpack for 4 months I need to make sure I have a strong back and shoulder muscles. I'm still jogging and am out riding my bike. Other than that it's been doing research on places to see in SE Asia.
