Wish Upon a Star and make all your Dreams come true...maybe.

We left the Wild Animal Park, drove to the hotel one block from Disneyland and.......our room wasn't ready. You figure that by 4 PM your room would be ready. But no. The kids also wanted to go for a swim but it looked like the pool hadn't been cleaned in a while and the heater wasn't on either. The water was freezing. So Katrine and Kyle went for a walk and Alexis did some tanning.

Monday and Tuesday we did Disneyland and California Adventure, along with a few thousand other spring break families and about a billion strollers. There seemed to be more strollers parked around the parks then there were kids. Would hate to see the place try and empty out in an emergency (actually, that was something that happened a week later when an earthquake hit Mexico and started shaking L.A.). Mass pandemonium I would think.

By mid-afternoon Tuesday we had all run out of steam from 4 days of extensive walking and waiting in lines. I do not know why people wait for hours in line at Disney and complain at the check-out line when they have to wait 5 minutes. We all did have a lot of fun though.

As for our City Pass, when we got to Disney they wanted the whole booklet as it has to be "activated" and then used within 14 days. The woman who served us at guest services use to work for the City Pass organization and was a stickler for the rules. She even back dated the stamp she used on the booklet to the day we had used our first pass at Sea World. Some people know and play by the rules, others know and chose to ignore the rules, others don't know the rules and do what they please. Life in a nutshell.

Still no pictures. But Kyle took a whole lot of them. It was great having him along. In his late twenties and he seemed like a little kid. As someone who hadn't traveled much as a kid, this was all an adventure to him. All the joys of childhood innocence without the whining, brooding and crying.

I ended up buying Mickey's sorcerer's hat from the movie Fantasia. Think I'll conjure up some Dreams!
