On Friday I picked the kids up at LAX and we continued on to San Diego. After a dip in the pool (the kids, not me) we headed to Old Town for supper. After a Mexican feast we wandered around this part of town and then back to the hotel for a good night sleep and rest before the marathon touring and walking that is planned for the upcoming week.

Saturday morning and off to Sea World. Get to the parking lot gate and Alexis realizes that she left the pre-purchased park pass at the hotel. A quick u-turn and drive back to the hotel for the City Pass. This pass allows entry into various theme parks and zoos.

Finally parked and leaving the truck when someone figures that we don't need to bring the whole City Pass booklet with us. We tear out the Sea World pass. We walk to the gate when I notice that the pass states not to tear out any passes as the whole booklet is required for it to be valid. Walk back to the truck to get the booklets. Get to the gate and the attendant tells us to tear out the Sea World pass. Uh? The booklet states otherwise. Oh well! Think it's going to be one of those days.

We spend the day going on all the rides and seeing the animals. It's quite warm out so we don't mind when we get drenched on some of the rides. We stick around until it gets dark to see the Shamu show. Our timing was impeccable this day as we always seemed to be ahead of the long lineups. Isn't life great when that happens?

Today we went to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park. This part of the zoo is north of San Diego, north towards L.A. We walk around these expansive grounds seeing wild animals in their, somewhat, natural environment. It's still quite hot out and everyone is quite tired from 2 days of walking so we decide to head to our hotel in Anaheim where we will be staying for our Disneyland visit.

Two days of touring and I didn't take a single photo. All I have is a video of the Shamu show.

Enjoy!
