What do YOU do when YOUR dreams come true?

Buy an expensive car!

Works for me.

The thing is, some people have dreams that wouldn't afford them the luxury of buying an expensive car. Their dreams come true and they don’t want the luxury car. Their dream might be having the means to allow them to travel the world helping people in developing countries or who are just less fortunate. These people are quite happy with very little. I'm quite happy with very little, but I'm also very happy with the finer things in life.

We all have dreams as individual as we each are. That’s what makes living so amazing. We all get to fulfill our dreams and the Universe is able to fill them. The unfortunate part is that some people get greedy and take what belongs to others.

These same individuals are not really that happy as what they think is their dream is actually society dictating to them what their dreams should be. I’m not just talking about greed in the monetary sense, but also about people who do jobs they are not really happy doing. Doing something you're not happy doing is greediness, in a sense. But it's usually done out of fear.

Every day I experience events, meetings, "coincidences", that I could recite here to try and prove to you that I've arrived at a place where my life is in perfect harmony with the Universe. But WHY?

Go back and re-read all my travel blogs and you have many examples listed. At those times I hadn't figured it out. I didn't have complete faith. I didn't believe, completely. Something was missing. It was a process that I had to learn, by experience. Not some theory expounded on by some "so-called" experts. I'm definitely no expert about anything in life.

No! My Dreams have not yet come true. Especially not those that I listed in the epilogue to my book.

Do Dreams change? Yes, and No. I believe our Dreams, the "underlying form" of them, do not change. But, I believe we can be mistaken in the final form that they will get realized. There's nothing wrong with being mistaken. We all make mistakes and have to admit to having arrived at the wrong conclusion. Fifteen months ago I finished editing my book and sent it to the publisher then found out that the person I named as my Dream Girl had gotten engaged and is now married. I keep on, jokingly, telling people that I'm psychic, but boy, was I wrong with that.

Just because THAT person is now married, and I was wrong in thinking who it was doesn't mean that I was wrong in the "underlying form" of finding my Dream Girl. I still believe that my Dream Girl is someone famous, or someone who nobody would expect to fall madly in love with a "nobody" from Canada. I am trying to prove something here. But will it work for the masses to convince them that I'm onto something?

Fame? Actually, I don't want the fame, just the ability to use who I am to help others in need.

Perfect health? Getting there. But it's a lot of work. I have to decide between exercise and lying by the pool, or sitting in a coffee shop talking with people and furthering my cause (ie. marketing).

Today was amazing. Started the day with a good half hour of meditating/yoga by the pool. Sun was shining bright and quite warm at 8h30 am. Then went to get my car washed (it had rained yesterday). There I met Lea. In her 40's/50's. From Belgium. In the USA for 5 years. Came with her husband of 30 years (she married at 16). He went back, she didn't. People back in her small town in Belgium don't understand why. Think it's because of a guy. Or state that Belgium is not "good enough" for her. She's still alone and loving it. She has no family here. Guess she has friends. But she's happy. Isn't that what life is suppose to be about?

She has 2 sons in their 20's who live in her house back in Belgium. They don't understand. She thinks all they miss is her cooking and cleaning. She says they have to learn to live their own lives. She has an amazing philosophy about life. More people in the world would be happy if they could see life through her eyes.

As I'm waiting for my car to get cleaned I walked across the street to Starbucks. Start chatting with the clerk there. She's moving to a different store tomorrow. Needs new challenges. Life is stagnating. Seems like a lot of people are in that position. Some do something about it, most don't.

Then I headed to The Desert Classic Concours d'Élegance at the La Quinta Resort. Just parking the car and I already new the patrons would be different then the auto show I went to a couple weeks back. I was parked between 2 Ferrari and a few other high end cars were nearby.

Yes, I was hob-nobbing with the rich and famous. Well, not too sure who was famous. And not too sure who was rich, but most of the vehicles on display had six figure price tags.

Was taking a picture of one Ferrari, when I hear someone ask an elderly gentleman if it was his. He said yes, a 40 year retirement present to himself. Seeing the gentleman shuffle around it looked like his health wasn't that great and I'm quite sure his car wasn't being driven the way it was designed to be driven. I'm assuming the older gentleman made one of his Dreams come true. Maybe he had hoped it would have happened sooner so that he could have "really" driven the car.

BTW. The car this gentleman has is the same model Ferrari that I have in miniature form. I talk about it in my book when I'm in Rhode Island. At that time I mentioned that the Ferrari is my Dream Car and that I did fulfill that Dream of owning one, even if it is in miniature form.

Today I found my full size Dream Car. A Spyker C8 Aileron. Unique (just like me). The 6th picture (second orange car-not the open cockpit race car, but the one after). A car made by an aircraft manufacturer in the Netherlands. A combination of both my passions. The "coincidence"? I grabbed a brochure on the car and the address of the US importer/local dealer is in the same city I'm staying in while in California...Thousand Oaks (what are the odds?).

Oops. Said I wouldn't talk about coincidences in my life. But here goes, again. Walked around a while taking pictures. Sat down to drink a $3.00 bottle of water (.50 at Wal-Mart). Then walked some more and then grabbed a $5.00 hot dog. Sat down to eat. A few minutes later an older lady asked if the extra chairs at my table were taken. Thinking she was going to take them to another table I said yes. Then the older woman, her husband and their daughter and son-in-law sat down at my table. Maria (the daughter) and her husband designed the website for this event. They all live in La Quinta. We had a great time chatting. I find out they're parked in same lot as I am and tell Maria I'd give her a copy of my book if we meet up again. We exchange business cards. I leave. Walk around to see the cars one final time. Then head for the shuttle bus back to the parking lot. Guess who else climbs aboard? Maria and her husband. Maria got her book.

I then drive back to Palm Springs and go grab a coffee, and not at Stabucks. My Aunt Pauline had received 2-$5 gift cards for the competition. The gift cards expired today. So I had to use them. This coffee shop is across the street from the Starbucks on the main street where I parked my car and watched people with quizzical looks on their face last week, or was it the week before. Oh right! It was both weeks.

After the coffee I'm walking back to my car and 2 young women are next to it smiling. I chat with them for a while and give them my business card.

Today was a very productive day. Gave away all the business cards I had on me and the 2 books I had in my car.

Marketing, Faith, and Believing will make my Dreams come true.

Congratulations to all the Olympic athletes back in Canada. You Believed and you succeeded. CTV television had this Believe campaign. Wish I could make everyone see the link and that this really does work.

Think It! Feel It! Live It!

PS. I've asked the Universe/God for the Dream Girl option to come with my Dream Car. It wasn't on the option list. But if you don't ask, you can't get.
