Wow...8 days into February and I have so many blog entries to write. Some are in draft form. Some are but a distant memory of what I wanted to say.

Here I am in Palm Springs enjoying the sun and warmth of a NON-Canadian winter. Life is AMAZING!

Went for a 150 km motorcycle ride today. A 10km run this morning. Soaked in the hot tub and pool. The sun is blazing. Warm and bright. What did I do to deserve this life? Think anyone would believe me if I said I'm actually working all the time?

My Aunt Dolores wanted some company when she came down to Palm Springs this winter to get away from the cold and snow of Edmonton. I was planning on being in California anyway. Why not Palm Springs? Never been here. Sand...sun...old people. I figured not ALL the people would be old. There must be some young, single, females that come visit Palm Springs. There's a Dream Girl out there waiting to run into her Dream Guy. I must be someone's Dream Guy. We all have one...girl...guy!

I haven't been disappointed in the 4 days I've been here. Soaked in the hot tub and pool. Jogged about 25kms. Bike rid 20kms. Drove a couple hundred kilometres. Went to see "The Romance and Sex Life of a Date". My aunt Dolores showed me around the hotel where my Aunt Pauline got married a few years back. The hotel wasn't what it was like a few years back. Progress. Renovations.

We went for a drive yesterday. My aunt has been coming to Palm Springs for close to 30 years. She wanted to show me the various areas where she's stayed and things she seen. That was one of the reasons we went to the Shields Date Farm. She thought that the short documentary film on the history of date farming in California was interesting. And so, we drove and drove, and now I have an overview of this area of California.

I'm gonna make this brief and try and get a few other blog entries written. But it's going to be hard. How do you document and experience life at the same time? You have to give up one to do the other. My preference is to experience life. I've been doing a lot of that. I love it.

BTW. I've seen a lot of gorgeous, young women here. But then, I see those wherever I am. Where, oh where, may I find my Dream Girl?

The Genie says, "Ask and you shall receive." I always do!

If only we knew, WHEN!
