Wednesday's drive from Winnipeg to Calgary was awful. Snow most of the way. Slushy Manitoba highways. Icy roads through Saskatchewan. 1350 kilometres and 16 hours of Yuk!

I was exhausted when I got home.

Yesterday I had to empty out the house of the last of my things and put them in the trailer. I also had to finish getting the trailer ready so that the boxes I'm bringing with me don't slide around. Then there was still the final house cleaning. With the help of the cleaning fairy, that got done. Thanks!

Up early this morning. Talk to my real estate agent. She'll be by at 11h30 with the buyer for the final inspection. It starts snowing. And snowing. And snowing. Crap! I was planning on leaving for Nanaimo tomorrow morning and staying at my sisters there for a couple of weeks. Looks like the weather won't cooperate.

When I had left for Winnipeg I had expected 5 days for the emptying of the house and time to ensure that the trailer was well balanced with the car, motorcycle and all the boxes in it. I didn't have that luxury with the revised possession date. At 11h32 I'm out of the house and have the Mini secured in the trailer. The snow is very deep. Glad the truck is a 4X4. With having to tow 8000lbs of trailer, car, motorcycle and possessions, I can use all the traction I can get. Drive out the back lane and around the front of the house and see that the buyer is already in the house. 5 minutes later and I get a call from my lawyer. They have a cheque for me with the balance of my equity. Yeah! I can pay off all my debts...barely. Debt free...but not for long without any income.

A friend offered me a place to stay overnight. I get there and the snow is still falling hard. Guess I'm stuck in Calgary for a little while longer. With the snow came the cold. Brrrrr!

I have a problem! The trailer has too much weight in front. What to do?
