Part II of faith is awareness.

I had the most amazing drive today. The roads were great. Very little traffic. No wind. The truck transmission temperature stayed in the normal range all day. I would consider that amazing considering I was pulling a 7000 lb trailer. I had set a goal of reaching Nipigon (over 750 kms). I'm in no rush, just that it felt like the right place to stop. As I’m driving, towards the end of the day, I’m watching out for campgrounds. None seem "right" to stop at. I’m getting tired about an hour from Nipigon. I stop and get some gas. Stretch my legs and for whatever reason am energized for the final part of the drive today. I find the campground that I need just where it should be along the highway.

What I’m sensing is that I actually do want to rush to get to Winnipeg and then to Calgary. It’s like there’s something there waiting for me. Something amazing. That’s the feeling I think people are going to have when they start sensing that the end of times, the Ends of The Earth, are near. There will be a major “push” to the finish line...to Heaven on Earth.

Awareness

To have “real” faith you need to be aware. A lot of people go through life in what I would call a “clueless” state. It seems to those of us with some sense and sensibilities to be a great way to live. These people seem to make it through life without really knowing how. They have no cares, really, they just go about their daily lives and then wonder why certain “events” happen to them. They have no need to stress because they are oblivious to what “might” or “could” happen. But they keep on going through life without realizing the cause and effect of their actions. An example of this is the TV show, Canada’s Worst Drivers. These people really don’t know how to drive. They drive in complete ineptitude and with no common sense. Somehow they ended up with driver’s licenses.

What these people do is frustrate the hell out of the rest of us. There also seems to be an increase in the number of people living with no common sense or in this state of cluelessness. Or, is it that there is an increase in the number of people living in a state of awareness? I think it’s a combination of both. In the grand scheme of things there’s a reason this is happening.

I’ll let you all in on the secret. These clueless people are like sheep that will follow all of you, those living in awareness, into a state of bliss. We all want to be happy. True happiness comes from being aware.

To have faith, you need to be aware of the little things that happen in your life. That is how you start realizing that there are Angels in your life. That is how you start becoming an Angel for others. Doing those little things that make a big difference to the other person, no matter how small it is.

Example #1. I stop for gas and have to go to the washroom. The stall I’m in is out of toilet paper. Lucky for me there is a second roll of paper “hidden” in the holder. I hit the second roll at the top of the holder and it clangs down. The guy in the other stall yells, “here”, and hands me a roll of toilet paper over the top of the wall. Now, how did he know I needed some toilet paper? He might have checked the stall out before I arrived, noticed no paper, and took the other one. But the “coincidence” was that he was walking out of his stall just as I hit the second roll. Ten seconds later and he would have been gone, or maybe he just could have continued and not offered the roll. Small things that we all need to be aware of. I thanked him even though I didn’t need the roll.

Example #2. I’m leaving this same gas station and a semi starts following me. He’s going slightly faster than I am and wants to pass but can’t on these roads. We get to an area with a passing lane but he’s too far behind. I know he won’t be able to pass me, so I slow down. He flashes his emergency flashers to thank me. He noticed that I had purposely slowed down to allow him to pass. A small  gesture, but acknowledging that he noticed. Little things that make the world a better place. The 3 or 4 seconds that I slowed down didn’t make a difference in my drive, but psychologically, made a difference to the truck driver as he thought I was slowing him down. I kept an eye on his truck. It wasn’t until I hit a red light in one town quite a distance away that I lost sight of him.

But two of many examples that I noticed during my drive today.

What does courtesy and awareness have to do with faith? It is in awareness that you start noticing the illogical signs and angels that pop into your life to make things happen as they should. If you live a “clueless” life you miss the signs directing you to where you should be going. You might get there in the end, but it’ll be by following those who are living in awareness. If you want to control the direction of your life you need to be aware of the signs and the angels and that can only happen when you have real faith in them.

The side effect of all the awareness is that people will start treating themselves better. For every good gesture received we must reciprocate. All those little things that people will be doing for each other will snowball into a global “lovefest” of doing stuff for others. At that point in time, the angels will be able to take a break because mankind will become master of their own destiny.

Throughout my day I am in constant awareness of what is happening around me. All that I experience in the present I can relate to what I have read or that I have experienced in the past. It is only then that I realize that I am following the right path and that there is no reason to not believe that I am no longer following that “right” path. I now have total faith. But it’s taken a lot of experience and awareness to get to where I am. But I also needed to lose hope and had to be desperate somewhere along that journey.

Next up. Fake Faith. Confidence and Conviction.
