Prince Edward Island...in 10 words or less...

...50's...small town country/suburb....

This is how I would describe the Island as I saw and experienced it.

Lots of Churches...well manicured lawns...friendly folks...slow lifestyle...peaceful...content...cemeteries...well kept houses...bored teenagers...modern...

...12 days...2500 kilometres (check out highlighted map of the Island)...3 campgrounds...hundreds of photos...lighthouses...churches...shoreline...harbours...coves...fish & chips...

Alexis has seen more of the Island in the 12 days that she’s been here then her friends that have lived here all their lives. Most of them have never been to Summerside...the 2nd largest city on the Island...no more than a 3 hour drive from their homes. It would be like someone in Calgary never having been to Edmonton. Oh...I guess there are a lot of people like that.

Not me...so much to see and so little time to see it all!

Today, Alexis and I drove the North Cape Coastal Road. Not much to photograph, but lots to see. Wide expanses, lots of seashore, well kept properties, church steeples, beaches, electricity generating windmills...all in 30+ degree weather (humidex of 40+). Yep, it was hot and humid!

Our drive over, it’s time to move on. Tomorrow, on the road for Halifax. Alexis heads home on Friday. I’m making plans to continue east.

PEI...the way things are returning to in the rest of the world...the Past...into the Future...that’s what I’m predicting.

Think It! Feel It! Live It!

Love to all!
