A few weeks before going to Samoa, Ian took me on a beautiful holiday to Kangaroo Island, just off the Adelaide coast. It was awesome, although slightly lessened by the fact that he was taking me so that I couldn't complain when he went to Thailand the following week with his mate.

Motivations aside, it was one of the best holidays I've had in Australia. To think, all these years travelling around Australia and the world, I'd never bothered to take the 20 minute flight (or slightly longer ferry ride) to my home state's premier tourist attraction!

I'm going to try and make up for it by visiting Kangaroo Island again in 2006, since we met Kai's sister and brother-in-law who live over there and invited us back to stay with them.

I highly recommend if you're heading to Kangaroo Island making a visit to Paul's Place at Stokes Bay... it's in the guide books. You'll never have a wildlife experience quite like it!

Since this travelogue is meant to be about Samoa, this anomalous entry can be more of a photo story. Enjoy.
