Tacna is just a small, dusty boarder town without much to do.  I arrived in the afternoon, bought my train ticket for the next day (for Chile!), had dinner and went to bed..... missing Devin of course!

Hello travellers. Have been wondering how you are doing with all that has happened in Chili. Just wanted you to know that I have been thinking about you.

Thank you so much for your kind words. Devin and I are both safe and sound. We have two friends from California that are visiting us right now and we all felt the quake at about 3:30 AM. I´ve been in several, since I´m from CA, but it was the longest and strongest one I´ve ever been in! It was Devin´s first and it was pretty scary. We are in Santiago which is actually 200 kms. north of the epicenter. The damage here isn´t that bad although the airport is still closed and there were a few wall cracks in our old hostel walls!

Thanks again... everything is fine. We are just keeping our fingers crossed that our friends will be able to fly out on Friday.

Take care!

Hi Marion! Just wanted to let you know we finally posted our last blog! Sorry for the delay. I hope all is well with you. If you ever make it over to Vancouver and have an extra night we would love to have you over for dinner. Let us know and we hope to see you soon. Christina
