We finally made it into San Jose and, believe it or not, we didnīt get too lost!  Big cities are a nightmare in Central America because of their lack of signage, inability of locals to give directions, and incorrect maps, but today luck was shinning on us.  We checked into the hostel (we couldnīt let Bev go home without experiencing a true hostel, luckily sheīs a good sport!), parked the car and headed to a restaurant for a great lunch.  We then went to the Jade Museum, San Joseīs most famous museum.  They had tons of Jade, ceramics, and ancient artifacts.  They were all in excellcant shape and it was nice to learn something about the indegionious of Costa Rica.  Compared to other Central American countries Costa Rica doesnīt have nearly as many indegiounous peoples and we really didnīt see much of their cultures, so this was a nice treat.

After the museum it was pouring, yet again, so we ran back to the hostel to wait it out.  After a few hours we decided, rain or not, we were going to go enjoy the city.  We went to a local market downtown and by the time we got out the rain had stopped.  We walked around the nearby pedestrain mall, did some last minute shopping, and introduced Bev to the Churro.  After checking out the local theatre, it was the most beautiful building in the city, we went to a nice Bon-vou-age dinner and shared a bottle of Chilean wine.
