After the crazy, steep drive up to Alegria (Wesley did great but I didn“t fare so well!) we entered a little, quaint village lost in time. It was so beautiful and the people were sooo very kind. It was clean, well kept and Devin and I knew instantly that we had found a gem. We spent the night in the courtyard of a hostel and the family was every bit as kind and caring as they could possibly be. We walked around the sleepy town, enjoyed a few cocktails, and had a wonderful dinner (thanks Belinda!). The next morning we woke up very early to enjoy an early morning hike up to the Volcano Crater Lake. After a nice half hour hike we arrived and had the whole place to ourselves. I absorbed myself in some Yoga and meditation before we headed back down the mountain to a wonderful breakfast (again, thanks Belinda!). As we were getting ready for the day the family that runs the hostel had the news on. The Honduran President was giving a press conference. Of course we couldn“t understand what was happening because it was all in Spanish. It seemed to be a timely reminder of our day to come, as today we are planning on getting through Honduras... wish us luck!
