On our way to Vegas we stopped at a random restaurant. It's a traditional watering hole called the Mad Greek, known for the best Gyro in America and amazing milkshakes. What a fun place and the Gyros were good!!

Las Vegas is our final visit with friends, before we are officially leaving on this trip 'solomente'. Many of our friends who worked on ships now live in Las Vegas so we were able stay with Kirsten, who was so kind to let us stay over for a couple nights.

Since our friends are local it was just an awesome coincidence that Christina's old friend Eddy was having a party. So as soon as we arrived in town we all jumped into some clothes and shot off to the party with Kirsten, Brook, Le Michael, Christina and myself.

The next day we hit the strip, starting with the Wynn/Encore hotel and Venetian, which were all breathtaking. The sizes of these casinos are unreal, with the most extravagant decors around. After spending much of the day just gawking at all the sights we stop at the Rio hotel for our first show, which was being managed by Eddy... who's party we were at the evening before. This was free show held each night called "Show in the Sky". The premise of the show was to be like Carnival, but with a twist. You find the floats flying a couple of stories above the casino main floor and show stage.

After the show we drove down to my favorite casino in Vegas the Belagio. We stopped and visited the water show in front of the Belagio and it was absolutely ridiculous. Finally, for the rest of the evening, we went down to the old Las Vegas and saw our friend Kat's show. Which was a 60's hippie show that taked place out of a flower power van. It was cool seeing Kat do all the amazing aerial acrobats. Our course we had to have a shot at midnight for Kirsten's b-day. We were so happy that we were able to spend it with her. We then finished up the night with a few games of Blackjack.

On the last day we went walking around the main strip again, visiting the countless Casinos. Then we had a wonderful birthday dinner at home with Kirsten and played a good game of Mexican Domino. Then off to another show in the Stratosphere (much like the sky needle in Seattle). This show was a Vampire show called "bite" and was topless... I would have to say it was pretty good. After the show we went up to the top level where they have some very crazy rides. Christina and Brook were pretty upset that they missed last call on one of the craziest rides I've ever seen.

Finally, it was time to say good-bye. Thank you friends for taking us around. We had a blast; we look forward to seeing some of you down in South America.

P.S.: Le Michael! Leo is sooooo cute, so are Frodo and Archie! We can't forget those two little guys.
