The small town of Peurto Escondido is a beautiful tropical paradise located on the south-west coast of the Mexican Jungle.  The humidity is very strong and leaves you wet from the time you woke up till the time you goto bed!

The beach in this town has lovely golden sand stretching from the water up until the thick palm tree's which completely line the coast.  Really is quite beautiful!  There is lots of little huts tucked away beneath the palm tree's which give you a good place to relax, kick your feet up and sip on a few Mexican beers while tucking into deliscious nacho's!  - Which is exactly what we did by the way...  The best thing about this place though is the really big surf which slams the coast, and provides some excellent right hand barrell's for the brave who would ride them :-)  - I miss surfing so much right now!!

Behind the palm tree's is little cobble stonned street with local's selling wooden beaded necklaces, and lots of local produce.  So we spent the 2nd half of the day walking and browsing the local markets.

Tomorrow i will do the same and take a night bus to San Cristobal, which is elevated 2,500m up, back at the start of the mountain's in southern Mexico.
