Here we all are in Dublin, Ireland together.  Our official last country I'll be seeing for the first time before heading back to London to hop on a plane home. :-(  We have spent the last 2 nights here (18th and 19th) and definatly like Ireland from what i've seen so far.  We're a fair distance away from the airport and it took us about a 40 minute bus ride to get to O'connel st which is pretty much where our hostel is and the 'best part' of town (right near the famous temple bar).  The weather hasn't been the best for us here, lots of dark clouds & rain.  We checked into our hostel and went up to like the 900th floor (or so it seemed).  There were these 2 girls in there from Holand on a weeks holiday before exams, haha!!  They seemed pretty nice.  yet again they spoke really good english as every Deutch person i've come across has.  We went for a walk to hunt down dinner as it was getting late.  We ended up at some Irish pub later that night to suss out what they're REALLY like.  We arrived through the door and they were all playing live Irish music!  And to my supprise it was so similar to the stereo typical irish sounds you hear back home, but better here!  Straight away the pub seemed to have a great atmosphere, like you'd have a top time.  The meal we had was pretty good, i cant remember what it was though but i remember liking it - haha!  We were pretty tired from the plane ride & previouse nights, so we headed back to the hostel.  Haha and some early hour in the morning the Deutch girls came back absolutely drunk after being at a concert, but i have a feeling we'll be getting em back the next morning when we awake early!

As i said previously!  EARLY RISE & making a shitload of noise for sweet revenge haha!  We went for a walk and explored Dublin more.  The city is actually very nice.  We found ourselves walking through the main shopping/padestrian street and had a top time watching all the buskers play the typical Irish music to the tourists.  Halfway down the street were dozens of people moving REALLY REALLY slowly in a huge line...?  I mean ultra slow, every movement.  They all looked like regular people, business people, etc walking throughout the street, so it spun us out for a while.  But it must of been either an Irish thing or some form of art?  I dunno??? - so if anyone's reading this and knows what it would of been - chuck me a message or leave a comment on this blog :-)  Anyhow, was interesting to watch.  From here we wondered throughout the streets and ended up at this huge shopping mall with multiple levels.  Out the front was this huge statue of a rat hugging a rabbit?? - haha no idea what thats on about... moving on!  Once inside, these girls wouldn't stop shopping, so me and matty just left em and buggered off for something to eat.  There was this KFC rip off called "STC" hahahaha!!  Was alot cheaper - but hell of alot more dodgier, but hey - we're travelling, dodgy and cheap is our style :-)  It ended up being yummy anyhow!  Just before we finished though, the girls found us and were very shitty! as the abused us, then went off and sat on another table ignoring us! HAHA! quite amusing actually :-P  (girls, thats what you get for too much pointless shopping!!)  Well after a while, and when the girls finally stopped sulking (took a little while, haha), we all geared up to head off to the GUINNESS FACTORY!!! WOOO HOO!!!

The Guinness Factory was absolutely HUGE!!  We all linned up outside and got pics taken off us under the main gate's entrance with a big gold GUINNESS sign above us.  Once in the foyar of the factory, there's this big bullet roof plastic circle in the middle of the floor which has the original factory lease under it for everyone to see.  In 1759, Mr Guinness signed a 9000 year lease to pay 45 pounds a year for the entire factory.  This would of been expensive back then, but right now till this day the factory still only costs 45 pounds a year! HAHA!!!  how funny is that :-P  Clever bloke...  The factory involved a self guided tour and explained, demonstrated how Guinness is made and all about the family.  Did you know they pump out 40 MILLION pits a day, and have the ability to pump out 80 MILLION! haha!  Towards the end there was this 'Wall of Fame', which is a gigantic wall of cards in which people from all over the world can write a greeting on and display it.  I thought i might like to make ours a bit different so i said "Guinness makes me do black poo's, but we love it!!! - from clint, matty, dan & dan" and went over it several times to make it bolder than the rest! haha - quite funny we thought!  (I took a picture - so have a skiz!)  However, it was now time for the Gravity bar to recieve or complimentary Guinness!  The view from this building was awesome.  The gravity bar is the highest point in dublin and up the very top of the guinness factory and has a round 360 degree view.  Ahh - the Guinness tasted alot better here than back home, as they poored it how its meant to be poored, took 5 minutes to do so, unlike back home where they wouldn't have a clue.  (Just ask any irish bloke - they'll tell ya!).

For dinner we settled on some restaurant for a change, it looked a bit fancy, but the only one we could find that had pizza (we all had a huge pizza craving).  Was tasty, but im afraid it still will never rival the one i had in Serbia!  Oh i still dream about that...  Burnt in my memory i tell ya!  We got some alcohol out of our fridge stash back in the hostel we had smuggled over from Scotland the other day haha.  Drank them at the hostel lounge room table and had a bit of an 'interesting' yarn with each other before heading out to an Irish pub.  We all chatted for a while and then the girls went back to the hostel while matty and mhyself stayed on and chatted to the bar man and some other guy that was drinking there.  We stayed way after closing time chatting which was cool - irish people tend to be so nice and talkative i've found!
