We woke up from a good few hours of needed sleep. Thought we needed to get out for a while so we went for a walk back to the main shopping street where we bought a hotdog which was very different to what i'm used to. People here dont each much, i dont see anyone eating any big meals, only small snacks and drinks... No wonder why everyone's slim here! Shortly after gutsing down my hotdog, we went for a bit of a walk and saw a bit of the park lands at night. The streets are absolutely packed here at night, eveyrone's out and about. Came across some very disturbing ways to try and get money off of ya that night which i wont get into, but the atmosphere has picked up alot since i now dont require anything (due to booking a cheap plane ticket for the following night) and enjoying myself a bit more. The park land is full of people trying to sell these wierd and interesting things and love corn here.

After a while we thought we'd go get some beers to have a laugh back in the hotel. Ran into some local's at the supermarket which advised me on a few drinking tips here. We picked up a few six packs and smuggled them into the hotel. Now this may seem funny, but this night in Beograd, Serbia we got on the beers while watching Titanic and then the Animal Planet! hahaha! - Nothing else was in English so it had to do i guess :o)

The next day we got to walk around the park lands a bit more and see more of the scenery and architecture. We had pretty much seen all of it from all the walking around yesturday, but we wondered down to see this gigantic church which was so bright white, which stood out very strongly with the surroundings. The city has been rebuilt 3 times due to constant war over the years, and still alot of the country is still in unrest, so its not supprising to see half disguarded buildings on nearly every block. However these buildings were caused from the NATO bombings in 1999. I'm not sure if it was just the time of year i was there, but the polution was pretty thick, with a thin blue haze getting stronger down every block you look down. But the country has had it tough and i'm now glad i've got to experience some of it i guess.

Well, dusk is arriving, and we have to make it to airport to head to Athens. Even if it has cost me way over budget, i dont have to put up with another night train for a while :o)

Serbia has been a good and bad time for me. Bad because of the terms i was arriving on and some of the service i recieved, however once settling myself down and figuring it all out i found it alot better experience and came across very nice people.

Well it was an experience and thats what i'm over here to do... If there is a next time, i'll make sure i arrive on better terms.
