Shore Hills Campground Boothbay Harbor

For the last few days we have been exploring the Boothbay Harbor region. We stopped by the Boothbay Village to see the train, and watched the Maine & Eastern crossing into Wicasset and then heading on its way to Rockford.

This area of Maine is made up of around 4,000 islands, many accessible only by boat. Last night we enjoyed a sunset cruise on a schooner, crewed by the owners Herb and Doris who have been sailing for more than 30 years. Unfortunately the weather was beginning to close down so we didn't get to see much sunset, but it was very peaceful sailing around the islands.
